Maria Vetencourt was born in ​Madrid, Spain and currently lives in ​Caracas, Venezuela. Her artistic ​career was inspired early in life by ​her talented private tutors and ​mentors.

Many of her pieces blend oil and ​crayon, but she often includes mixed ​media to add depth and perspective.

For her sculptures, Maria uses ​marble and bronze. Several of her ​works are inspired by the Carnival of ​Venice where she captures the ​mystic of this annual festival.

Her works are vibrant and reflect her ​passion and desire to communicate ​through her amazing pieces. Her art ​is on display in private and public ​collections.
